This speedboat cruise will take you to some of the most beautiful islands of the South East coast of Mauritius where you will get the chance to learn all about their history and the various roles they played during colonial times. To wrap up the cruise, you will be taken on a snorkeling journey to one of the most amazing spots of our island known as Troumouto.
Your day will start with the visit of one of the largest islands of the Mauritian territory, Ile aux Cerfs, famous for its sandy beaches and pristine lagoon. Lunch will be served at the back of the island and includes salads, grilled garlic bread, BBQ chicken and fish followed by our typical grilled banana or pineapple for dessert. Drinks such as wine, beer, soft drinks, juice, water, coffee & local rum are provided during lunch.

Afterward you will cruise along the natural scenery of the mountain chains towards Grand River South East, the longest river on the island which leads to one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Mauritius. Surrounded by lush nature and impressive ravines, witness a 30 km river which flows along the Bambou mountain chain to meet the magnificent waterfall in the bay of Anse Cunat. This place offers a pure moment of relaxation and breathtaking views within Mother Nature.
You will continue to Ile aux Flamants, a magnificent island reputed for its romantic atmosphere and its natural beauty. There, you will enjoy the unique setting and tranquility that this islet offers.

The next island is Ile aux Phares, also named Ile aux Fouquets. Although small in size, this island offers some breathtaking views and is home to some of the oldest fortifications of Mauritius dating from the Napoleonic period. Discover the secrets that lie within the island!
Last but not least, you will head to Ile de la Passe only a few kilometers from Ile aux Phares. This island also holds great importance in the history of Mauritius as it was a prominent and strategic defense for both British and French troops in the 18th century. The structures of the fortifications and ruins found on site are the oldest and most preserved in Mauritius.

Before you return to shore, the speedboat will take you to Troumouto, one of the best snorkeling spots situated on the South East coast of Mauritius near Mahebourg, where you will discover a wide variety of marine species and corals. Snorkeling gear is provided.

  • Professional and worth every penny
We booked the private excursion from South Africa inquiring initially via email and later calling them. The whole Johaness team were awesome. They accommodated our requests were meticulous in their communication running up to the excursion. The day of the excursion was amazing. We were allowed time to take in the scenery and spend as much time at each of the stops as we liked. This really gave the excursion a relaxing feel. The waterfall was more beautiful than I thought it would be a worth a trip. One can view it from right in the boat and drive almost underneath it. From there we shot off to a shallow area ahead of the reef for some snorkeling. This was worthwhile although the coral is rather bleached. After a little more of a run in the boat (which the kids loved) we went for a lazy lunch under some shaded trees on Ile Aux Cerf. Really beautiful. All in all, it was an amazing experience and I would certainly trust Johaness with any future excursions, should we return.

  • Private speedboat to the waterfall, snorkelling and beach lunch
We had a private speedboat to the waterfalls. At the waterfalls we got off and had a private guide to show us how/where to dive in, climb and swim - memories of a lifetime. Then off to snorkel, followed by a visit to an island - we walked away from the initial busy beach and enjoyed the nature of the island. Final stop on another island for lunch - basic, charming and good food. It was a fantastic day - highly recommend it.
